John Kozlovich teaches social studies at Wausau West High School, and is also an adjunct instructor of American Government at Northcentral Technical College. He is a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where he studied History and Political Science. As an undergraduate, John had the unique opportunity to live abroad in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he studied the the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia and ensuing ethnic conflict that took place during the 1990s. After graduating, John worked as a Graduate Assistant at Ball State University, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in History as well as a certification in Social Studies Education.
Prior to arriving at Wausau West, John taught at Wausau Engineering & Global Leadership Academy for two years, as well as Plymouth High School and the Weidner School of Inquiry in Plymouth, Indiana for four years. In addition to his passion for teaching social studies, he has a background coaching speech and debate, and is committed to building a learning environment that stresses critical thinking and oral communication. When he is not teaching, John enjoys cooking, traveling, gardening, and being with his kids.
